In a recent interview with Vogue, the legendary songstress let her love for the "Truth Hurts" rapper be known after she was asked, "Which up-and-coming singer should I listen to?" — to which she replied "Lizzo."
Given the huge shout out, Lizzo oh-so-relatably FREAKED THE EFF OUT, sharing a screenshot of the interview to Twitter, which she captioned, "I got the @MariahCarey stamp of approval b*tch oooooohhhh my goooooooooooooodness 😩." Mariah then doubled down on her previous sentiment, replying to Lizzo's tweet: "You don't need my stamp, you're 100% that b*tch!!!! 💖."
Keeping it cool this time around, Lizzo simply responded "😭 ilysm."
As fans know, 2019 has been the year of Lizzo. From the rise of her breakout hit "Truth Hurts" to her debut on the big screen, starring alongside J. Lo and Cardi B in Hustlers, the 31-year-old trip threat has made 2019 her b*tch.
Most recently, Lizzo was given the honor of being a question on Jeopardy! She reacted to the surprise of a lifetime on social media, sharing a clip of the moment to Instagram. "B*TCH B*TCH THIS AINT A DRILL IM A @jeopardy QUESTION MAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I MADE IT I LOVE YOU ALEX TREBEK 🤯😱," she captioned the video that showed her as a $600 question.
As for the question that Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek posed to contestant Diana, it was: "In 2019, this 5-letter rap and R&B artist had the "Juice" to be nominated for Best New Artist at the VMAs."
