Billie Eilish has showed off her electric flair with various hairstyles throughout her career, switching up her look from dark and moody to blonde bombshell to edgy vivid roots. While they each fit the vibe of the moment, one stands out to Eilish as a "career-defining look."

In a new interview for British Vogue, the Hit Me Hard and Soft musician and several other celebrities talked about her music and changing style over the years, including one question from Sing Sing actor Colman Domingo wondering what her favorite hair color has been so far, per People.

"Well, I really like to romanticize two specific periods in my life: the green roots and the red roots," she said. "Green and black especially felt like such a personal and career-defining look for me. I felt so exactly who I was at that time."

Joking that the neon green and jet black style is called "The Billie," the "Birds of a Feather" singer shared why she gravitated toward the now-iconic look.

"I'd never really seen anything like that before and it really felt nice to have something that felt like mine," she said. "That shade of green was like my color for so long. I loved it so much. Hair, nails, clothes. It was such a magical period for me, and it was so intense. I felt like I was becoming who I am."

Not every look was a win, however, as Eilish revealed which of her fashion risks she's not as fond of.

"I do have to give myself credit for always going so hard," she said. "I wore like actual bouncy balls with straps on the bottom of my shoes once... But again: I committed to the bit and I regret nothing."
