Here's today's feel-good story:
The threat of a life-threatening stroke can be halved with seven healthy habits, according to new research.
Such habits include eating better, losing weight, quitting smoking, being active, and maintaining normal blood pressure.
"Life's Simple 7' as it has been dubbed also protects against heart disease and Alzheimer's.
“We can use genetic information to determine who is at higher risk and encourage them to adopt a healthy cardiovascular lifestyle, such as following the AHA’s Life’s Simple 7, to lower that risk and live a longer, healthier life.” said lead author Professor Myriam Fornage, of Texas University in Houston
