We went on a tour of the Health Sciences Building at Southern Union State Community College's Opelika campus. It's amazing what they offer their students as far as hands on learning goes. Detailed mannequins and dummies that students perform procedures on, environments set up to mimic real life situations, and more than a few fields that their learning programs focus on. So if you or someone you know has been thinking of becoming a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, surgical tech, radiologic tech, or an EMT; Southern Union is definitely a place worth looking at!
Don't forget the Spring semester is just around the corner and programs are also offered where High School students can dual enroll!
