Target Is Selling Baby Dolls That Have Down Syndrome & I Am One Happy Mama!

I am so happy to see that Target is selling baby dolls that have Down Syndrome characteristics! I talk about my daughter Bella all the time on the Ellen K Morning Show. She's my first born child and Bella has Down Syndrome. Bella is no longer a baby, in fact she turns thirteen this Friday but no matter what, she's always going to be my baby girl!

For the past almost 13 years, there's never been dolls that look similar to my baby with Down Syndrome, and to be honest, Bella didn't care. She loves to play with any baby doll because any baby is cute to play with. However, now having the option excites us and really makes our loved ones with Down Syndrome feel included. Truly, that is what we all want for our child, to be included and to feel loved.

According to the CDC, about one in every 700 babies are born with Down Syndrome in the United States. This giant move towards inclusivity in our world is the gift we've all been waiting for. Why? Because inclusion matters! The dolls can be found online at Target and cost $45.95, made by Miniland Educational.
