#LIFEHACK: Day not going so well? Unproductive? Turn it around!

We’ve all had those mornings where things just don’t click, and we realize around lunchtime that we’ve accomplished nothing. At that point, you have two options.

You can just throw in the towel and phone it in for the rest of the day... or you could try to salvage things. Here are a few tricks that might help get your productivity juices flowing again:

● Go For A Walk. Leave your phone and take a 15-minute walk with just your thoughts. It will give you a boost of energy and help remind you that there is a much bigger world outside of your computer screen.

● Take Small Bites. When you’re not feeling like yourself it’s probably best to concentrate on the small stuff instead of trying to take on a huge project. Organize your to-do list by what’s going to take the most energy to get done and check off as many tasks on the low end that you can. After you knock off a few you might be feeling up to take on something bigger.

● Try Working For A Few More Minutes. If you’re bored, frustrated, and feeling unmotivated tell yourself to just work for five minutes. That’s it. Set a timer if you have to and take a five-minute bite out of your workload then you can get back to your phone. But you’ll probably find that after the five minutes is up that you’ll want to push it to ten, and then a half-hour, and then until it’s time to clock out.
